DIY: T-Shirt scarf!

Do you have a bumch of shirts lying around that you can't wear anymore?! Well don't throw them out! Turn them into a trendy scarf!

Supplies:
3 shirts, each a different color
Scissors

Let's get started!

First you want to choose the 3 shirts you want to use.

Next, you cut the shirt into strips. The more strips you cut, the longer your shirt will be. I cut 10 strips from each shirt, 9 for the scarf and an extra to use for tying it together.

Now you want to take each piece you cut and pull on them so that the roll up.

Now you will "fold" each piece into a circle. (i made my circle a little smaller than the picture, so that they would be tight and not loose)

You will use the extra strip that you cut of each color to cut into smaller strips to tie the circles together.(continue til you reach desired length)
Final product! :)

Mini 'Emergency Kit'!

That's right! A mini emergency kit. Similar to a first aid kit but personalized for the individual!
I have recently just made myself one, and it always stays in my purse! I do not leave my house without it! It has come in handy many times, i acutally do reach for it alot. I have two emergency kits. The one i will be sharing with you and my ezcema emergency kit, which is also always on me! (That one just has my oinments and creams and ace bandages.)You can put anything you want in your mini emergency kit, I just thought i would share with you guys what i keep in mine! Once my mom saw mine she made herself one too!

My mini emergency kit is just a small makeup bag, which you can pick up just about anywhere!
Inside!
*Travel Q-Tips
*Energy Sheets
*Tide To Go Mini
*Glasses cleaner

Pinterest Interest!

[organization and storage]

Today i was browsing and i found a neat storage idea for sheets.
In my house the closet with the sheets is just a mess! You can't find anything and they are just thrown in there. This little tip will help you save space and always find your matching sheets.

First off if you have more than one pillow case for your set, leave one out. All you need to do is fold your fitted sheet, loose sheet and any other pillow cases and then put them inside of the pillow case you left aside, stack on top of eachother. This way you will never have to go sheet hunting again! Everything will be neat and together. I am definitly going to go do this to my sheet closet!

Eye shadow for nail polish?!

Ever go through your makeup and think wow that eye shadow would make a really pretty nail color! Or wonder what you could do with old shadows that you don't use much any more. Well now you can turn that eye shadow into nail polish in less than 10 mins!

Supplies you'll need.

-Clear polish
-Eye shadow/ eye shadow pigment
-Mixing bowl of some sort
-Scissors

Step One!

* Use the scissors to scrape the eye shadow into your mixing bowl. (i used cupcake liners). Make sure there are no chunks in the eye shadow.

Step Two!

* Pour in some clear nail polish. Use the brush to mix the nail polish and shadow until it is completely blended.

Step Three!

*Paint your nails! :D and enjoy!

Scarves!!

I used to be really into the "scene" type scarves. Don't get me wrong i still love them! I own like 6 :) But now big chunky scarves are starting to catch my eye! I just love what you can do with them, especially infinity scarves. Those days when you just want to wear a simple tee, throw a chunky scarf on to 'spice' up your tee! Simple and easy ! No effort.
As i was browsing the interwebs (lol) I came across a picture of this scarf that someone posted.
When i saw this scarf i absolutely fell in love! This scarf is just so different and chunky and i love it! So i started thinking, you know what I'm going to make it! So I think a trip to the store for some yarn is well needed! Yarn and crochet needles are on my list! Its been a while since I've crocheted and I can't wait to get back into it!
This scarf is definitly something I will be making in the near future! and I will be sure to post a picture of how mine turns out! :)

"Introduction"

So I am going to give blogging another chance! Therefore i present you with... The awkward first blog!
Haha, So my name is Allyson and I am currently a college student. I have a good bit of free time and aside from homework I wanted to find something else to do in my free time. I love makeup. For me makeup is an art form and our faces as the blank canvas. I do not use makeup to hide flaws but to show my creativity. With that said i also love doing all types of nail designs, from simple designs to complicated themed designs. Also DIY projects, ohhh DIY projects! I absolutely LOVE DIY projects. I think that they are just so much fun to do! Now that that is all said, this blog will be me sharing my interest and love for these things! From showing you how to create makeup looks to nail tutorials to DIY projects to any random thing i feel like sharing!!
So stay tuned!
:)
