Organization/Storage Tip: Scarves!

For today's post I am going to share with you how I store my scarves. I used to keep them in a drawer but they were just taking up too much room and I had other things that need to be put in the drawer. As I was browsing the Dollar General I saw that they had over the door hangers. I purchased one in purple for only $2!

There are 2 large hooks. One on each side. There is also 8 smaller hooks. Since I took this picture I have added 3 more scarves to the rack. On each large hook, I have 2 scarves. I have 1 scarf on each small hook and the bottom row and have recently added 2 more scarves to the top row. This rack hangs on the door of my bedroom. I love this for scarf storage. It is simple and it displays all my scarves so that I don't have to go searching around a drawer for the scarf that I want! There is currently 9 scarves on the rack.

How do you store your scarves?

P.S. Next week I will share how I store and organize my makeup! Keep an eye out for that post!

Subtle Neutral Smokey Eye Tutorial!

Let's first start off with "YAY!" for my first makeup tutorial! These tutorials are definitely something I will incorporating into the blog, so be on the lookout for more!
Now let's jump right in!

Products I used(brushes not pictured):

1. The crease color from the Wet n Wild Silent Treatment trio
2. The eyelid color from the Wet n Wild Walking on EggShells trio
3. e.l.f. Eyelid Primer
4. e.l.f. Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in French Lace
5. e.l.f. Eyebrow kit in Dark
6. Prestige Brow Perfection Brow Gel
7. Revlon's Fabulash Mascara, very black, waterproof
8. Maybelline's Great Lash Mascara, blackest black
9. e.l.f eyeshadow, blending, and crease brushes

Tutorial:

  • The first thing you want to do is apply the e.l.f. eyelid primer all over your eyelids.
  • Then take the e.l.f. jumbo eyeshadow pencil in French Lace and apply it to 2/3 of your eyelid. Avoid the outer corner area.
  • With an eyeshadow brush take the eyelid color from the Walking on EggShells trio. Apply it on top of the e.l.f. jumbo eyeshadow pencil.
  • With a crease brush take the crease color from the Silent Treatment trio. Apply it to the outer corners of your eyes. (I like to work it into a "v" shape for a cat eye type look without the liner.)
  • You want to work that same color into your crease.
  • Use a blending brush to blend out the color and any harsh lines.
  • Apply one coat of the Revlon's Fabulash Mascara followed by one coat of the Maybelline's Great Lash Mascara.
  • Using the e.l.f. brow kit in dark, shape and fill in your brows with the powder and gel.
  • When finished use the Prestige Brow Perfection brow gel to hold your brows in place. ( I like to do this because I mainly use the gel color in the gel kit to just make my eyebrows darker.)

VoilĂ ! Your all finished!

Now that wasn't so bad! It is a very quick look and my go too look when I am doing my makeup in the morning.

What other kinds of makeup tutorials would you guys like to see?

Notw- Nail of the Week!

This week I am wearing essie - Midnight Cami. This polish is a very dark blue with shimmers in it. I don't normally purchase essie polishes because I refuse to pay $8 for one bottle of nail polish. I found this one in the clearance section at the drugstore for $4, so I thought it was the perfect time to get some to try out. I love the color but absolutely HATE the drying process!! It felt like it took 2 hours to dry. It was ridiculous.

What is your favorite color by essie?
What is your favorite nail polish brand?
