Spring Eye Tutorial #3

 LET'S GET STARTED!

Products I used(brushes not pictured):

  • e.l.f. Studio Endless Eyes Pro Eyeshadow Palette (colors used have stars in them)
  • e.l.f. eyebrow kit in dark
  • Revlon's fabulash mascara (waterpoof)
  • Wet n Wild megalength mascara
  • Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow stick/crayon

Tutorial:

  • The first thing you want to do is apply the e.l.f eyelid primer all over your eyelids.
  • With an eyeshadow brush take the first light blue color and apply it to the first half of your eyelid. Avoid the outer and inner corners.
  • Then take the second blue color on an eyeshadow brush. This is going to be the transition color for your outer corner and crease color. You want to put this on the rest of the lid still avoiding the outer corner. Remember to blend blend blend!
  • Next you want to take the dark blue color on a crease brush and really focus this in just the outer corner and crease. Working in a V motion.
  • You then want to take the white color and put it in the inner corners of your eyes.

  • Then take the e.l.f. eyebrow kit and fill in and shape your eyebrows.
  • Apply one coat of the Wet n Wild megalength mascara, then apply a coat of the Revlon Fabulash mascara. I apply this one second because it is waterproof.

Voilà! Your all finished

Make-up Madness: e.l.f. cosmetics essentials collection !

Let's jump right in!

1. Custom Compact

  • I personally really like these compacts. I've given them as gifts and the people loved them! The compacts themselves are only $1 and so are the refills! You can put eyeshadows and lip products in them. The colors I have are Ivory, Wheat, Peach fizz and Dusk. They are very pigmented and worth the $1. These compacts are definitely one of my favorite products and a HIT !
2. Flawless Eyeshadow Quads
  • These are only $2 each and are apart of some of the newer products. I was excited when I ordered them cause they made me think of the Wet n Wild color icon trios. I have two quads in the colors Smokey and Party Purple. Honestly I was disappointed when they came. Only some of the colors are pigmented. There are some colors that no matter how hard you rub your finger in the color it does not get any darker. Because you are only getting 4 colors is some are not working it's pretty much a waster of money. In my opinion these are a MISS.
3. Brightening Eye Color Quads
  • These quads are only $1! I own 2 in the colors "Punk Funk" and "Teal Dream". The two I own are very pigmented, but once again there is the problem where at least one color in each quad are pretty much not usable. They do tend to get a little chalky also. However, they are very good for travel because they are so small. I think this product is a HIT or MISS product. You either get a quad where all the colors are usable or you don't.
4.Glitter Eyeshadow
  • These singles are only $2. I have the color "Night Owl". Mine is extremely pigmented! The color is very pretty. This product is a HIT. ( If you own other colors let me know what they are like).

1. Eyeshadow Duos
  • These duos are only $1 each. Unfortunately I don't know what the color names are because it was a gift set that was $5 (set came with a brush/eyeliner duo). These are great for travel as well! I like these a lot. Out of the 8 colors there is only one that lacks a bit in pigmentation. This is definitely a HIT!

1. Primer Eyeshadow
  • These are $2 each. I own the color "Misty Mauve" . It is very pigmented and I like the color just as it is. I would rather just wear it as it is rather than under another shadow. HIT!
2. Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils
  • These are also $2 each. I own the colors "Like a Boss", "French Lace" and "Midnight Rendezvous". When they came out with these I was very excited because I don't live near an Ulta so I could never get my hands on the NYX ones. I personally like these pencils. I use mine as eyeshadow bases. They do tend to crease a bit but I have that problem with a lot of cream shadow products. The only color I was unhappy with was "Midnight Rendezvous", it wasn't as dark as I was expecting it to be. All and all I think these are a HIT.

1. "Midnight Rendezvous" 2. "French Lace"  3. "Like a Boss"  4. "Misty Mauve"

1. All Over Color Sticks
  • These are only $1 each! I own the colors "Lilac Petal" and "Pink Lemonade". These all over color sticks can be used for anything: Blush, Lip Color, Cream shadow, etc. I purchased them with the intentions of using them as blushes. They are true to color and pigmented. They aren't that hard to work with blending wise. The only down fall, and it's a really weird down fall is that they literally smell like a bowl of Fruit Loops. LOL, seriously they do. Besides the smell this product is a HIT!

1. Hypershine Gloss
  • These are a $1 each. I own "Flirt". I used to have a bunch more but recently threw them out when I was spring cleaning my makeup. The way I was storing them cause some of them to leak :(. These are great products, the color selection is great, and I love pairing them with lip sticks as well as wearing them alone. HIT!
2. Lip Stain
  • The lip stains are $2 each. I own "Crimson Crush". I love reds but feel that I look funny in them. As far as this color, I love it! Pigmented, stays on for a long time! As for this color I say HIT!
3. Lip Stick
  • These lip sticks are only $1 each. I only own one in the color "Classy". However my mother owns a few colors and she loves them! The color pay off is great. I would say HIT !
3. "Classy"  2. "Crimson Crush"   3. "Flirt"

1.  Make-Up Brushes
  • These make-up brushes are only $1 each! I love these brushes! The quality is good for only being a dollar. I don't really have any problems with shedding while washing them. I own around 20 or more brushes. These are definitely a HIT!

All in all when it comes to e.l.f. I believe its always a hit or miss. Someone could have the same product as you and have no problems and yours could just be terrible. I think e.l.f. is a great company that provides wonderful products for even greater prices!

Stay tuned for the next installment of Make-Up madness featuring more e.l.f cosmetics, studio collection!

Spring Eye Tutorial #1

I am going to be doing a few of these spring eye looks as part of a mini spring series. They are going to be very colorful looks!

Let's get started!

Products I used(brushes not pictured):

  • Sephora palette (colors I used have check marks)
  • e.l.f. eyelid primer
  • Revlon Fabulash mascara, very black, waterproof
  • e.l.f. eyebrow kit in dark
Tutorial:
  • The first thing you want to do is apply the e.l.f. eyelid primer all over your eyelids.
  • With an eyeshadow brush take the yellow color and apply it to the center of your eyelid. Avoid the outer and inner corners.
  • Then take the orange color on an eyeshadow brush. This is going to be the transition color for your outer corner and crease. You want to put this on half of the yellow. Really blend it out well so that there are no harsh lines, once again avoiding the outer corner.
  • Next you want to take the matte blue color with a crease brush and apply it to the outer corners and crease. Blend blend blend!
  • Next pick up some of the dark blue with the shimmer finish and really focus this in just the very outer corner. Working in a V motion to define the corners of your eye and achieve the cat eye look without eyeliner
  • You then want to take an eyeshadow brush and apply white to the inner corners of your eyes.

  • Apply one coat of the Revlon's Fabulash mascara.
  • Using the e.l.f. brow kit in dark, shape and fill in your brows with the powder and gel.

Voilà! Your all finished!
