Beauty Blog Challenge: Day Six!

Anything Hello Kitty

I wanted to keep this post makeup related so I chose the Sephora Hello Kitty Graffiti brush kit. I do not think that they sell this kit anymore but I am not 100% positive. Ever since I saw this this brush set I thought it was adorable! I definitely want to get my hands on it if they still sell it and if they don't I shall choose one of their other adorable Hello Kitty brush sets!

My Recreated Look:

Products I Used:

  • Ivory and Wheat e.l.f. shadows (top two)
  • Eyelid and Crease color in Wet N Wild I'm getting Sunburned Palette
  • e.l.f. glitter shadow in Night Owl
  • Wet N Wild Take on the Day eyelid primer

  • e.l.f. studio eyebrow kit in Dark
  • Sephora eyeliner in black
  • e.l.f. studio cream eyeliner in black
  • e.l.f. clear brow gel
  • Revlon Fabulash mascara in Blackest Black and waterproof
  • Wet N Wild Megalength mascara in black and waterproof

  • Revlon Colorburst lipstick in Coral
  • e.l.f. smoothing lip balm in Strawberry creme

Tutorial:

  • You want to start by applying the Wet N Wild Take on the Day primer all over your eyelids.
  • Next take the eyelid color from the I'm Getting Sunburned trio and apply it all over your lids stopping a little higher than your crease. Smudge it into your lower lash line.
  • Take the crease color from the same palette and apply it to the outer corners working it into the crease. Make sure to use a fluffy blending brush and really blend this color out. You don't want it to be too dark.
  • Then mix Ivory and Wheat from the e.l.f. palette together and apply this under the brows as your highlight.

  • Take the Sephora eyeliner and line your water line and tight line with it.
  • Using the e.l.f. cream eyeliner line your upper and lower lash line creating a winged eye.
  • Apply 2 coats of the Revlon Fabulash Mascara to your upper lashes.
  • Apply 1 coat of the Wet N Wild Megalength mascara to your lower lashes.
  • Using the e.l.f. eyebrow kit fill in and shape your brows.

  • If your lips are dry apply e.l.f. smoothing lip balm in Strawberry creme
  • Apply Revlon's colorburst lipstick in Coral

Voilà! Your all finished!

Colors of the Rainbow Tag!

It's been awhile since I've done a tag! I thought this one would be fun to do. It's called the Colors of the Rainbow tag. You go through the colors of the rainbow (ROY G BIV and pink and multicolored are like the bonus colors) and you chose a product that you like or is your favorite that's that color! Easy enough? That's what I thought until I had to chose products! Some of the colors I actually had a hard time with!

So let's get started!

RED
For red I chose my Betsy Johnson heels! I absolutely LOVE these heels! I got them on clearance at JC Penny for around $36 ! On the heel there is a bow and corset detailing. My favorite part of these shoes is that under them it is bright blue with a leopard type design! So pretty, I don't wear them often (since I don't really have anywhere to go in them) but I did wear them on New Years Eve and got lots of compliments! They are about 5 inches in height with a small platform.

ORANGE

For orange I chose my Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser. This is a great face wash! I use it every morning. I love the smell and it really does wake you up! The bursting beads fell really good on the face in the morning.

YELLOW

For yellow I chose these flats! The camera does not pick up the color very well but they are actually gold, lol. I couldn't find anything yellow so I cheated and picked something gold. Oops. I got these flats from Goodwill for $8! There is like sequence all over them but it doesn't fall off and get everywhere like you would think it would. I thought these were a fun shoe.

GREEN

For green I chose my Julie G nail polish in Gelato in Venice. It is a beautiful mint nail polish. Is mint considered green? Well it is now! This color is perfect for spring and summer!

BLUE

For blue I chose my Beyonce perfume in Pulse. I normally do not purchased celebrity perfumes cause I find that they don't really smell that great but I really like this one. It is not fruity (I am not a fan of fruity scents) and it's also not that typical celebrity perfume smell. Beyonce did good when she came out with this one!

INDIGO
I just could not find anything for indigo :(

VIOLET/PURPLE

Of course I chose my Wet N Wild Megalength mascara! This is my holy grail mascara! It gives great length to my lashes and doesn't clump! I wish they would make a waterproof version!

PINK

I thought this was the perfect product for the color pink! Maybelline Vivids lipstick in Pink Pop! This lipstick is so vibrant and it lasts all day long!

MULTICOLORED

For multicolored I chose my Sephora palette! It's got great colors! From neutrals to bright colors. They are very pigmented and are easy to blend and work with. I especially like the yellow and blues in this palette.

This tag was actually a little harder than I thought. I couldn't even find anything for indigo! So now it's your turn!
I tag all my readers!

Now I am going to go make brunch!

Spring Eye Tutorial #2

Let's get started!

Products I used(brushes not pictured):

  • Sephora palette ( colors I used have arrows)
  • e.l.f. eyelid primer
  • e.l.f. eyebrow kit in dark
Tutorial:

  • The first thing you want to do is apply the e.l.f eyelid primer all over your eyelids.
  • With an eyeshadow brush take the light pink color and apply it to the center of your eyelid. Avoid the outer and inner corners.
  • Then take the darker pink color on an eyeshadow brush. This is going to be the transition color for your outer corner and crease color. You want to put this on half of the light pink. Remember to blend blend blend!
  • Next you want to take the blue color on a crease brush and really focus this in just the outer corner and crease. Working in a V motion to get the cat eye look with out eyeliner.
  • Then take the e.l.f. eyebrow kit and fill in and shape your eyebrows.
    • I didn't use any mascara or eyeliner, feel free to add what you wish! Make it your own :)

Spring Eye Tutorial #1

I am going to be doing a few of these spring eye looks as part of a mini spring series. They are going to be very colorful looks!

Let's get started!

Products I used(brushes not pictured):

  • Sephora palette (colors I used have check marks)
  • e.l.f. eyelid primer
  • Revlon Fabulash mascara, very black, waterproof
  • e.l.f. eyebrow kit in dark
Tutorial:
  • The first thing you want to do is apply the e.l.f. eyelid primer all over your eyelids.
  • With an eyeshadow brush take the yellow color and apply it to the center of your eyelid. Avoid the outer and inner corners.
  • Then take the orange color on an eyeshadow brush. This is going to be the transition color for your outer corner and crease. You want to put this on half of the yellow. Really blend it out well so that there are no harsh lines, once again avoiding the outer corner.
  • Next you want to take the matte blue color with a crease brush and apply it to the outer corners and crease. Blend blend blend!
  • Next pick up some of the dark blue with the shimmer finish and really focus this in just the very outer corner. Working in a V motion to define the corners of your eye and achieve the cat eye look without eyeliner
  • You then want to take an eyeshadow brush and apply white to the inner corners of your eyes.

  • Apply one coat of the Revlon's Fabulash mascara.
  • Using the e.l.f. brow kit in dark, shape and fill in your brows with the powder and gel.

Voilà! Your all finished!
