What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Yay, today is my first What I'm Loving Wednesday! This is going to be something that is going to stick around. Basically every Wednesday I am just going to let you all know what I have been loving lately.

Neutral Eye Shadows
(e.l.f. Natural Eye palette, WNW Silent Treatment, Almay Brighteyes duo: Bronze, WNW Walking on Eggshells, e.l.f. custom quad)

Lately I have been really into neutral shadows. I usually don't use them too often because I love using crazy bright colors. However, I have found myself reaching for neutrals a lot ! Especially my Walking on Eggshells trio from Wet N Wild (I've hit pan on the eyelid and crease color). I how quick and easy it is to do a neutral and it matches anything that you plan to wear that day! It's also great for work because I don't want to wear too much or too bright makeup to work. I also don't want to spend an enormous amount of time on work makeup that's most likely going to melt off my face, haha. Neutrals have definitely been my go to look. I have also been able to experiment with bold lip colors for the pop of color look with the neutral shadows which is also loads of fun!

What have you been loving lately?!

Subtle Neutral Smokey Eye Tutorial!

Let's first start off with "YAY!" for my first makeup tutorial! These tutorials are definitely something I will incorporating into the blog, so be on the lookout for more!
Now let's jump right in!

Products I used(brushes not pictured):

1. The crease color from the Wet n Wild Silent Treatment trio
2. The eyelid color from the Wet n Wild Walking on EggShells trio
3. e.l.f. Eyelid Primer
4. e.l.f. Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in French Lace
5. e.l.f. Eyebrow kit in Dark
6. Prestige Brow Perfection Brow Gel
7. Revlon's Fabulash Mascara, very black, waterproof
8. Maybelline's Great Lash Mascara, blackest black
9. e.l.f eyeshadow, blending, and crease brushes

Tutorial:

  • The first thing you want to do is apply the e.l.f. eyelid primer all over your eyelids.
  • Then take the e.l.f. jumbo eyeshadow pencil in French Lace and apply it to 2/3 of your eyelid. Avoid the outer corner area.
  • With an eyeshadow brush take the eyelid color from the Walking on EggShells trio. Apply it on top of the e.l.f. jumbo eyeshadow pencil.
  • With a crease brush take the crease color from the Silent Treatment trio. Apply it to the outer corners of your eyes. (I like to work it into a "v" shape for a cat eye type look without the liner.)
  • You want to work that same color into your crease.
  • Use a blending brush to blend out the color and any harsh lines.
  • Apply one coat of the Revlon's Fabulash Mascara followed by one coat of the Maybelline's Great Lash Mascara.
  • Using the e.l.f. brow kit in dark, shape and fill in your brows with the powder and gel.
  • When finished use the Prestige Brow Perfection brow gel to hold your brows in place. ( I like to do this because I mainly use the gel color in the gel kit to just make my eyebrows darker.)

VoilĂ ! Your all finished!

Now that wasn't so bad! It is a very quick look and my go too look when I am doing my makeup in the morning.
